2024 Vaderstad Carrier XL 425
Versatility in disc cultivationCarrier XL 425-725 is a trailed disc cultivator, available in working widths between 4.25 to 7.25m. It can be fitted with 510 or 610mm discs, with adjustable disc angles. The sizes of the discs make Carrier XL 425-725 well suited for deeper cultivation, incorporating large amounts of crop residues or breaking up pasture. A wide range of front tools increases the versatility of the machine.
Carrier is a disc cultivator used for high speed primary tillage and seedbed preparation. The wide range of front tools, discs and packers enables Carrier to handle the versatile challenges of modern farming – from ultra-shallow cultivation to a deeper incorporation. The versatility it brings to the farm saves passes, decreases machine cost per acre and provides the best start possible for the coming crop.
Features may include:Discs allowing for increased working depthCarrier XL can be fitted with either 510mm or 610mm TrueCut discs. In comparison, the 510mm disc increases the space around the disc which allows for a higher throughflow. The 610mm on the other hand, enables greater working depth, which is a benefit when incorporating large amounts of crop residues, such as harvested maize stubble
Intensive shallow tillageCrossCutter Disc performs outstanding in grain stubble and in cover crops, while also enabling great advantages on cultivated land. Because of its disc shape and high-quality Swedish steel, CrossCutter Disc provides full cultivation and intensive mixing at shallow working depth. This means that an extensive stale seedbed is created over the entire field.
MultiSet offers versatilityThe adjustable MultiSet disc hubs allow the disc angle to be set to one of three positions between 11 and 17 degrees. This enables the disc aggressiveness to be adjusted to fit different working depths.
Thereby a perfect slicing can be achieved during shallow cultivation, and a good penetration can be ensured at a greater working depth.
Easy adjustmentThe maximum working depth is set on the machine, while operational depth settings are carried out hydraulically from the cab. To ensure optimal slicing and uniform cultivation, the front row of discs can be adjusted in the lateral direction with the help of rigging screws.
Support on packer or wheelsCarrier XL 425-725 design allows for the transport wheels to be set down in the field, which makes the disc cultivator very manoeuvrable.
On headlands, the machine can be turned on either the packer or the wheels. The wheels can be lowered in damp areas or when shallower cultivation is required. By raising up the frame it is easy to back into corners, allowing the whole field to be cultivated.
